11.21.2022

Phoenix, AZ — Cutter Aviation is honored to announce the induction of Will Cutter and Cutter Aviation into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

This most special recognition commemorates over 94 years of commitment to aviation and the hard work and dedication of the Cutter family to the industry. “It truly is a humbling honor to be in the company of past inductees such as the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh, Howard Hughes, Bob Hoover and Chuck Yeager who were true pioneers that set the bar high for many generations of aviators to come,” said Will Cutter, President & CEO of Cutter Aviation. “We proudly share this honor with the entire Cutter family, which includes hundreds of passionate employees from Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas and, all giving their best every day to serve our clients.”

Since 1963, the International Air & Space Hall of Fame has honored the world’s most significant pilots, crew members, visionaries, inventors, aerospace engineers, business leaders, preservationists, designers and space explorers. “We’re exceptionally pleased to honor this exemplary Class of 2022 because these men and women are amongst the most talented figures in the history of air and space,” said Jim Kidrick, President & CEO of the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

Will Cutter has been a passionate advocate of aviation throughout his entire life. Being the third generation of his family to join Cutter Aviation, Will takes pride leading the oldest family owned and operated FBO in the world, while still staying true to its original core values of Trust, Integrity and Respect.

Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps, Will started flying at an early age, obtaining his pilot’s license as soon as he was able. Eager to continue the family legacy, Will officially joined the family business in 1979 and over the years has worked in numerous departments from the wash rack to sales and everything in between. Hard work, passion and dedication is not the only thing that has allowed for its success, Will has put his heart into furthering the family legacy. Under Will’s direction, Cutter has expanded from two locations to eleven, having facilities spread throughout the Southwest.

Will is a member of many prominent aviation organizations and associations. When his father passed away in 2018, Will established the William R. “Bill” Cutter Memorial Scholarship at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University to honor him and help those that share his love of aviation. As of 2022, two of Will’s four children, William D. and Anna, have joined Cutter Aviation thereby taking Cutter into its fourth generation of family leadership, continuing the family legacy and preparing for the future.
